The Sydney Content Strategy meetup is for web content strategists, website managers, content designers, digital producers, UX writers, information architects, and service designers.

We meet every two months to catch up, share case studies, swap resources and workshop thorny issues.

Founder and organiser

The group is run by Elle Geraghty from Elle Geraghty Content Strategy. Elle is one of Australia's most well-known Content Strategists. She is an international speaker and coach who has been working in content strategy for over 15 years. She has helped organisations like Qantas, ASIC, The Australian Museum, Atlassian and the NSW Government improve their content strategy.

History

In 2011, Robyn Ball and Elle Geraghty tried to find a content meetup with no luck, so they decided to start one themselves. It started small—just six people came to the first one—but now about 90 content strategists meet to listen and share. Check out pictures of the early days.

If you have a great case study or concept to present - please get in contact. It's always best to come to a couple of meetups to see how things work first :)

Past topics have included content modelling, stakeholder management, tools to test information architecture, crafting voice and tone and the core model. We take a very high-level approach to improving digital ecosystems.
