On Monday, 16 June, Linette Voller from Canva will share a talk titled: “Drawn to Words: How Sketchnoting Revealed the True Power of Content Design"
She writes ... "What happens when you spend years translating other people's words into visual formats? You develop deep insights into what makes content truly resonate. In this talk, I'll share how my journey as a sketchnoter fundamentally transformed my approach to content design.
Through capturing hundreds of presentations visually, I've gained practical understanding about effective communication - how structure creates clarity, why consistency in promised content matters, and how content needs to stand on its own beyond its original context."
Around 40 people meet every two months to talk content strategy in a fun and friendly environment.
Topics include strategic content management, content design, information architecture, content governance, accessibility, UX writing, content cleanup, archetypes, analytics, stakeholder management, measurement, large language models and more.
The meetup is held at Atlassian - either 341 or 363 George Street, Sydney. Check your ticket to make sure you have the right address on the night :)
The closest stations are Wynyard and Martin Place and there are plenty of cheap after-hours car parks around in case you’re working from home.
Thanks so much to the team from Atlassian for sponsoring our venue and refreshments and Elle Geraghty Content Strategy for running the event.
